Testing @theperkyshop’s Perfect Selfie Package: Solve your #SelfieProblems!

People, especially Pinoys, love to take photos, selfies in particular.  Maybe to flaunt his outfit for today, to share what makeup/skincare products she used on her face for the day, to let his network know where he’s spending his vacation, or just to share a relevant quotable quote. LOL!  Whatever our purpose is, I believe we were able to take even just a single snapshot of ourselves for others to see.

During my school days, I’m a self professed selfie addict. I admit it!  It was crazy to think that I really got fond of myself taking pictures upon waking up, before going to sleep, or if I’m having a great time outdoors. But now, I take selfies with caution.  I must have a CONCRETE PURPOSE why I posted selfie shots.  I am aware that some people doesn’t want their social network feeds clogged with pictures of my face in different angles.. hehehe! That’s why, just wanted to remind you—hinay hinay lang when taking and posting selfies ok?

Anyway, let me share to you some problems (well they’re not really problems, maybe disadvantages or inconveniences) that you can encounter in taking selfies:

Hot Star Large Chicken: Yes, It's Large!

Last week’s work week left me heartbroken. Thanks to our very own MRT who caused me so much stress. It’s indeed true as I’ve said on my Facebook status that riding it during rush hours can really test your character.  Well, modesty aside, I think I passed…… I passed that I almost failed (and cried). :P

I commend my fellow commuters who managed to endure the shoving and pushing just to fit in the jampacked train coaches.

Anyhoo, after almost two hours of brisk walking, riding the train, and riding a jeep; I safely arrived at Blue Bay in Pasay (our favorite dating place hehe).   I was profusely sweating, my legs are aching, I have a huge shoulder bag and laptop bag with me, and my hunger is haunting me.  My husband was waiting for me and immediately we searched for a place to eat.  I wanted that moment to find a spot wherein I can forget my “repeating MRT stress syndrome”

Karen’s Beauty Post # 9: Unboxing the Glamourbox April 2014 - Perfectly Pristine Box!

I got my eyes glued on the clock last April 11.. waiting for its hands to strike 12 noon.  Upon the time I was waiting for, I immediately subscribed to Glamourbox Perfectly Pristine Box.  I was thinking that I would get products that are refreshing, ones that will help me beat the summer heat.

What made me even happier about this box is that my older sister paid the subby fee for me.  This is her birthday gift for me.  Thank you so much Ate Karis Santiago-Yumang and Kuya Romel Yumang! :D

Yesterday, our office guard handed me a heavy Glamourbox.  Looking at it, it seems like the box is "overloaded" with stuff! I became even more excited and immediately opened the package.

My Bag of Beans Experience (and some Tagaytay moment sidenotes)

My husband and I spent one of our vacant Saturdays at Tagaytay.  We went there not to stroll along and enjoy the scenery (though we wanted to do that on the side), but to catch up with our backlogs.  We have to update our photography folio and upload our latest works, then sort out and do some editing and album layouting.  The past months for us were a little bit hectic and crazy, so we grabbed this chance to catch up.

My Look--Sumkinda Ngiwi Look. LOL!  Primer:  Body Shop Matte It Primer, Foundation:  Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow, Brows:  Cover Girl Brown Liner/Snoe What's Up Brow Corrector, Mascara:  Maybelline Magnum Volum Express Waterproof Mascara, Lips:  Colour Collection Ultimate Wear Lipstick - Bellissima

We went to Starbucks, hoping that we can work in a cozy environment.  But the long queue of customers, boisterous laughter from a big group seated on a nearby table, and the warm air from the coffee shop’s aircon unit (or maybe it’s really hot that time), failed us to do so.  But nevertheless, we still proceeded to work.  Tagaytay during weekends most likely mean that we have to endure long traffic jam, and it is unlikely that we can find a quiet spot to work because people are all over the place.  Looks like the cool weather that we are looking for does not want to hang out with us.  Oh well.

I Want To Be Part of Sample Room's Bloggers Circle!

From Sample Room's FB Page
I fell in love with my Sample Room subscription since the day they gave me 100 points to be used for sampling selected beauty, health and lifestyle products.  Sample Room opened the "sleeping heart" of beauty blogging within me.  At first I thought I'm destined to write inspirational, travel and food blogs and other serious stuff.  Even in my wildest dreams, blogging about beauty products never struck my mind.  When I was single, I don't put powder on my face.  I never used lotion, baby cologne is more than enough for me.  I never even bothered to groom my brows. And I love basketball.  The last statement is just random. :P

Way back then I never find myself beautiful.  I tried joining Miss Intramurals during my sophomore year in high school, and I heard people that I'm only good in joining quiz bees, and after that I promised myself not to join such contests again.  I don't have flawless skin, I'm too skinny (but I have wider hips), and I don't have good posture.  And to top them all off, my self esteem is way, way down the drain.  I'm not beautiful.  Then I focused on my studies to excel.  At least I have one aspect that I am confident of.
